A Garden and Outdoor Patio Go Hand-in-hand

I love to garden, and when my family moved into a new home, I was very excited at the thought of getting to plan a brand-new garden! We moved to a completely different climate, so there was a learning curve to finding out which flowers and plants would thrive in the new location. Thankfully, the project was a success, but I realized that our family didn't get to enjoy the beauty of our garden without an outdoor living space to lounge on in the backyard. We soon found a local contractor with amazing ideas on how we could turn out yard into a beautiful, outdoor oasis. I enjoyed helping him plan and watching him build our new backyard patio, and I actually learned a lot during the process. I am eager to share what I have learned with others on my new blog!

3 Reasons To Install A Tankless Water Heater In Your Kitchen

Many people think that if you purchase a new water heater, you have to purchase a unit that will supply hot water for the entire house. However, this is not the case at all. You can always purchase a tankless water heater for just one room of your home, such as your kitchen. Then, you'll have a water heater that will provide a never-ending supply of hot water for your kitchen sink and dishwasher. These are a few reasons to consider installing a tankless water heater in this room of your home.

1. Prevent Your Dishwasher from Using Up All of the Hot Water

Have you ever hopped into the shower while your dishwasher was running, or after your dishwasher just got finished with its cycle, to find that there wasn't enough hot water? If you install a tankless water heater in your kitchen, you never have to worry about this appliance using up all of the household supply of hot water again. Then, you can stop having to worry about timing dishwashing and showering to ensure that they don't get in the way of one another.

2. Avoid Wasting Energy When Using the Sink

If you're like many people, you might leave your sink running with the hot water on while you're washing dishes or performing other kitchen tasks. This can drain the household water heater and can result in energy waste as it has to fill back up. With a tankless water heater in the kitchen, however, you won't use up any more hot water or energy than what you need, allowing you to preserve energy.

3. Get Access to Hot Water in the Kitchen Sink Right Away

Standing around and waiting for the water to heat up when you want to soak or wash dishes or have access to hot water for preparing food can be a pain. The great thing about having a tankless water heater installed in the kitchen is the fact that it can allow you to have faster access to hot water, since you don't have to worry about the hot water traveling so far from the main household water heater. This means that you'll always have hot water right away, when you need it.

As you can see, it's a good idea to install a tankless water heater in your kitchen. If you haven't yet thought about doing so, consider talking to a plumber about this option. Go here for additional reading.
